When selecting the driver improvement course option to satisfy your citation, you must certify, pursuant to Florida Statute A list of approved driver improvement courses is available online from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles or listed in the yellow pages of your local telephone directory under "driver instruction" or "traffic schools.
Certificate of completion will not be accepted after the due date and failure to submit by the due date will result in applicable points being assessed to your license. When you choose this option, you plead not guilty and you waive your right to pay the fine or elect to attend a driver improvement course. After receipt of this completed form by the Clerk, you will receive a notice from the Clerk advising you of the date and time of your hearing. YOU are responsible for making sure any witnesses you want to testify appear at the hearing. A Plea of No Contest allows you to ask the court to withhold an adjudication of guilt without having to go to court.
